Over 10 years ago, I started Zadar-Bike with just four bicycles and a simple idea: to help my guests explore and experience more of this beautiful region. Back then, I had no plans to deliver bikes—it all began with a WordPress website I built myself. Before I knew it, I was getting inquiries from places beyond my little hometown of Bibinje. That’s when the idea struck: why not bring the bikes to them?
I bought a car, loaded it up with bikes, and began delivering. Little did I know, that would become the core of my business. For the past decade, I’ve spent my summers on the move—riding, driving, delivering, and picking up bikes. But it’s always been about more than just the bikes. I think of myself as a guide, or maybe even a “Dalmatian evangelist,” helping people experience this stunning part of the world.
Today, with over 30 bikes and thousands of deliveries under my belt, I still feel immense pride whenever I meet new customers. From the moment I deliver a bike—sometimes right at the airport—I love hearing their stories, sharing tips about the best spots to visit, and seeing their excitement when they return, telling me how the bike made their journey unforgettable.
When I started, some of my friends laughed at the idea of bike delivery. But I believed in it because I saw how much it mattered to my customers. It’s been challenging but also incredibly rewarding. At Zadar-Bike, it’s not just about renting bikes—it’s about connecting people to the heart of Dalmatia, one ride at a time.
