Discover the Scenic Pašman Bike Route
The Pašman bike route is a must for anyone wanting to explore the best of both, the Pašman and Ugljan islands. This 46 km trail is perfect for riders with moderate physical fitness who don’t mind tackling rougher terrain and macadam roads.
Starting in Tkon, the route leads you to the top of Pašman, offering breathtaking views from the island's highest peak, Bokolj. From there, it continues over the iconic Ždrelac Bridge, connecting you to Ugljan, where you can explore more stunning landscapes and vistas, including the famous St. Michael’s Fortress.
This trail features a total ascent of 800 meters and takes around 5 hours to complete. With plenty of short climbs and descents, it’s a dynamic ride showcasing the islands' natural beauty. Make sure to pack enough water, as most of the route is exposed to the sun.
If you’re starting your journey from Zadar, you can take a ferry to Ugljan and begin your ride in reverse. It’s a great way to see both islands and advanced cyclists can even extend their journey by taking the ferry from Tkon to Biograd and cycling back to Zadar or Bibinje via the main road. However, be cautious—the main road is traffic-heavy and doesn’t have a dedicated bike lane.
Whether you’re a seasoned rider or looking for a memorable adventure, the Pašman bike route offers an unforgettable experience with its stunning views and diverse terrain.

Ždrelac Bridge
Ždrelac Bridge is a 210-meter-long structure connecting Ugljan and Pašman's islands. It’s a busy route, as it is the quickest way to reach the Kornati Islands and the open sea from Zadar, Bibinje, and Sukošan. Additionally, one of the largest marinas in the Mediterranean, located between Bibinje and Sukošan, contributes to the heavy boat traffic passing beneath the bridge. With a clearance of 16 meters, the bridge is high enough for most vessels, but a few sailboats still manage to misjudge and collide every summer—an amusing yet frequent occurrence!
